I’m Danny Maguire— a fashion and editorial photographer based in Birmingham, where the city’s industrial grit has shaped how I see the world; the way light cuts through shadows, how form carries emotion, and how character lives in the details. I’m drawn to faces that tell stories and to images that feel both cinematic and honest.

I studied Film Technology at university, where I became fascinated by the physics of light— how it moves, how it shapes a scene, how it makes you feel. I bought my first camera in 2014 after saving up by trading trainers, and I’ve been chasing images ever since. My work has been published in multiple editorials and campaigns, but I still shoot with the same instinct: strip things back, find the feeling, let the subject lead.

My style is rooted in portraiture— whether in the solitude of my studio or out on location amidst the often unpredictable chaos of the real world. I’m inspired by music, cinema, fashion, and art, but mostly by people: real skin, real stories, real presence.

Away from the camera, I’m just a dog lover, a runner, a football fan, and someone who enjoys noticing the small details. Photography is my work, but it’s also how I process the world— quietly, observantly, and always chasing something a little raw and a little beautiful.
